There is no single official list of every museum in Palma. This selection is based on directories from the Ministry of Culture, the Consell de Mallorca, Palma City Council and the official websites of each centre; a minor or private space may be missing.
Palau Reial, s/n, next to Palma Cathedral.
An old Moorish fortress turned into a Christian royal residence. It combines Islamic remains with Gothic architecture and, after the 2026 renovation, includes the Queen’s Palace.
Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00 (winter) or 10:00–19:00 (summer); closed Mondays. General admission 8 € and reduced rate 5 €.

The island’s main museum, in the Casa de la Gran Cristiana town-palace, with collections covering the history of Mallorca from Prehistory to the Modern Age.

A major museum of Balearic and Mediterranean modern and contemporary art, in a former fortress overlooking the port.
Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–20:00 and Sundays 10:00–15:00; closed Mondays. Paid admission with discounts and some free slots.

A collection of 20th-century Spanish art (Picasso, Miró, Dalí and others) in a stately house in the centre.

Palace of the March family with sculptures, a monumental nativity scene and a collection of art and cartography.

Workshops and a collection of over 6,000 works by Joan Miró, where he lived and worked, in buildings by Rafael Moneo.

Plaça de Weyler 3, the former modernist Gran Hotel.
A cultural centre of the “la Caixa” Foundation with temporary exhibitions of art, science and history, in one of Palma’s most iconic modernist buildings.
Wide opening hours every day with moderate paid admission and several free slots/groups; check the website for hours and prices.
Next to the Cathedral, in the Bishop’s Palace (Palma).
A collection of sacred art linked to the history of Christianity on the island, with altarpieces, sculpture and goldsmith work.
General admission around 5 € with discounts. Usually open Mon–Fri 10:00–17:30 and Sat 10:00–15:00; confirm on the website.
Ses Voltes Cultural Centre, Palma’s sea-wall area.
A museum dedicated to Mallorca’s maritime heritage, with exhibitions on traditional sailing and seafaring culture.

A centre dedicated to the Croatian painter Kristian Krekovic and contemporary cultural activities, run by the Consell.
Mon–Fri 10:00–14:00, Wednesdays also 16:30–20:00; closed Saturdays and Sundays. Free admission.
Bellver Castle, hill west of Palma.
A circular Gothic castle housing Palma’s city history museum, with panoramic views over the bay.

Palma old town.
A stately house restored as a house-museum and exhibition centre, showing the life of Palma’s bourgeoisie.
Usually free admission with morning and afternoon hours several days a week; check the City Council website.
Passeig del Born, Palma.
A contemporary art centre in an 18th-century palace, with temporary exhibitions and free entry.
Usually free; open Mon–Sat 11:00–14:30 and 15:30–20:30, Sundays 11:00–14:00; confirm before your visit.
Palma (under the diocese).
A collection of objects related to biblical history and the archaeology of the Near East, with a religious educational purpose.
Reduced hours and a symbolic admission fee; as they vary, check directly with the diocese or the museum’s website.
Valldemossa.
A former charterhouse with cells, a pharmacy, a municipal art collection and spaces dedicated to figures such as Chopin and George Sand.
Usually open every day with long hours and paid admission to the different parts; check the official website.

A foundation dedicated to the painter Josep Coll Bardolet, with a permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.
Morning and afternoon hours several days a week, with affordable or free admission; check the foundation’s website.
Sóller.
A modernist house with period furniture and a collection of modern and contemporary art (Toulouse-Lautrec, Klee, Léger, Barceló, etc.).
Open several days a week with moderate paid admission; seasonal hours.
Lluc Sanctuary (Escorca).
A museum of the Marian sanctuary of Lluc, with collections of sacred art, archaeology and Mallorcan ethnography.
Open almost all year during daytime, with combined admission or a donation; check the sanctuary’s website.
Alcúdia, Camí de Coll Baix s/n.
A unique space with contemporary art, a collection of historical children’s portraits, an open-air sculpture park and architecture by Hassan Fathy.
Hours vary by season, with paid admission and guided visits; book ahead and check prices on the official website.

An archaeological museum linked to the Roman city of Pollentia, with remains and objects from the excavations.

Andratx (C/ Estanyera 2, on the outskirts).
One of the largest contemporary art centres in the Balearics and Europe, with large exhibition halls and artist residencies.

A house-museum of the writer Robert Graves, preserving the furniture, library and garden just as the author left them.
Visits in morning slots and some afternoons, with paid admission; check the official website for seasonal changes.
Coast between Valldemossa and Deià.
A historic estate linked to Archduke Ludwig Salvator, with a house-museum, spectacular viewpoints and a small collection about his life.
Usually open almost every day in the morning and early afternoon; paid admission.
Algaida, Palma–Manacor road km 19.
A glassblowing factory and museum, with live demonstrations and a historical collection of glass pieces.
Winter: Mon–Fri 9:30–13:30 and 15:00–17:30; summer: Mon–Sat 9:00–13:30. About 8 € adults, 6 € seniors over 65, 4 € ages 8–18; free under 8.
Sant Joan, Camí Els Calderers.
An 18th-century great estate turned into an ethnographic museum about life on the old Mallorcan farm estates.
Open every day 10:00–17:00. About 10 € adults, 5 € children 4–15, free under 4.
Inca, Av. del General Luque 223.
A museum dedicated to Inca’s shoe and textile industry, with machinery, historical shoes and business archives.
Mon–Tue 9:00–14:00; Wed–Fri 9:00–20:00; Sat–Sun 9:00–16:00; very affordable or free admission.
Manacor.
A municipal museum with archaeological and ethnological collections from the Manacor area.
Morning hours and some working afternoons, with free or very low admission; check the City Council website.

An interactive museum about Rafa Nadal’s career, with original trophies, virtual sports experiences and a technology area.

Muro, C/ Major 15.
A museum dedicated to Mallorcan rural culture, with tools, furniture and traditional objects.
Several mornings and some afternoons a week, free or very reduced admission; check with Muro City Council.
Campos, Campos–Colònia de Sant Jordi road km 8.
A centre explaining the traditional working of the Es Trenc salt flats, with a visit to the salt pans and an exhibition.

Palma’s old town is compact: most points are less than 15 minutes’ walk from each other. This route concentrates the museums of the historic centre in one day, with 5–10 minute stretches:
Bellver and the Miró Foundation are outside this route: they require a bus ride or a long climb. Times are approximate.
Reopened on 3 October 2025 after almost two years of works, with a brand-new museum project of five rooms covering maritime heritage, marine biodiversity and accessibility measures (easy reading, braille, audio descriptions).
Improved with restoration works (roofs, damp, lighting and exhibition panels) and a reinforced programme up to 2026.
